Many students come to Georgetown very certain of their future career path while others spend time searching for the best fit for a career or graduate school. Georgetown’s diverse academic and co-curricular opportunities give students important places to explore their options. This page includes a few particular links related to work and careers both on-campus and after graduation.

- On-campus employment
The Office of Student Financial Affairs provides a Student Employment Website for students to search for both on and off-campus jobs. The Student Employment Office administers the Federal Work Study Grant Program. Federal Work Study is a need-based federal financial aid program that provides eligible students the opportunity to earn a portion of their financial aid package through part-time employment. Federal Work Study provides a wage subsidy, which makes eligible students financially attractive to employers. Federal Work Study jobs can either be on-campus, or off-campus at approved program sites.
- MBNA Career Education Center
The Career Education Center teaches students and alumni how to identify career opportunities that suit their individual strengths and interests and equips them with resources for life-long career management as confident, self-reliant professionals. The Career Education Center at Georgetown University serves all current, degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate students and alumni except for students or alums in the law school, medical school, graduate School of Foreign Service or Masters in Business Adminstration (MBA) programs. Students in the Georgetown Public Policy Institute (GPPI) are eligible for select services. The Career Center offers a wide range of services to help students find an internship, including career counseling, employment advising, programs, and resources.
- Alumni Career Network
The Career Network is a database of more than 18,000 Georgetown alumni worldwide who have volunteered to provide career advice and information to students and fellow alumni.
